ignite on Wednesday Night
(SPARKS & FLAMES Streams)

ignite on Wednesday Night is the heart of ignite's mid-week programme, alongside ignite Bonfires. It happens approximately ever other week (see the iWN Calendar below) and comes in two flavours - one based around introducing people to Jesus and getting to know Him better, and one based on meeting new people and getting to know them better!

So, if you come to a session that's hosted @ the ignite centre, you'll get dinner and dessert for FREE and you're likely to experience some games, some music, some input and some discussion about Jesus - about who He was, what He did, and how that effects each of us today. It's a great session to come to if you're in the SPARKS stream, and know you're interested in finding out more about God, but maybe aren't sure how much you believe in Him yet, or if you're in the FLAMES stream, this is the place to bring your friends who taking their first steps into finding out more about what you are on fire for!ignite Wednesday Night Logo
Night Out LogoIf you come to a session that's a 'Night Out', or a 'Film Night', it's going to be a chilled out time relaxing and enjoying each other's company along with taking part in a great activity too! In the past, we've been bowling, ice skating, quasaring, climbing, karting, grass sledging and swimming to name just a few... On film nights, you might see the latest Hollywood Blockbuster, or maybe something that will make you think.

If you'd like to get involved, usually you can just come along, but sometimes (especially if we're going somewhere that isn't the ignite centre) you'll need to sign up in advance - click here to go to the sign up form and get your name down now before all the places go!

We're sure you've noticed that ignite on Wednesday Night only happens every other week - that's because it's only half the Wednesday story! Click here to read about ignite Bonfires - the small groups that fill in the gaps!

You might have also noticed that there's a bit of a gap when it comes to the Easter holidays. That definitely isn't because there's nothing going on though! Head to the Loughton Youth Theatre page to read all about our arts-based Easter Holidays activities.

"You are here to be light... God is not a secret to be kept."
A short note to explain our short quote...
This is something that a guy called Jesus from a place called Nazareth said, recorded in a book (sometimes called a 'gospel') about Him written by a guy called Matthew about 1900 years ago. Jesus spoke in a language called Aramaic, and Matthew wrote in a language called Hebrew, so it's been translated a bit since it was originally spoken. This translation of Jesus' words is recorded in a version of the Bible called "the Message". We think these words are *really* important; everything ignite does is about letting young people know that they are here to be lights shining in a dark world. It's pretty cool really to think that what one person said nearly 2000 years ago is still changing people's lives even today...
